their staples from a hole in the ground.
I needed a box of staples, so I thought I'd check out the Family Dollar store, down the block. There were none, that I could see, in the school supply/office supply section, so I asked one of the staff.
She didn't understand what I was talking about, but then it was like a light bulb went on over her head, and she led me to the Seasonal selections. She then picked up a butane charcoal lighter, and offered it to me as a staple.
It's incredible, to me, the lack of competence in the staff and management of Family Dollar. Aside from the manager closing her register, when there are eighteen people waiting to check out, they often have scanning errors. It gets particularly bad, when the product is pre-priced, and it still scans at a different price then the one printed on the box, or the shelf. You must always watch what they're doing, when they ring up your purchases, because I good percentage of time, you will be charged more than the price advertised or displayed.
These experiences are from the store in the 600 block of West Mitchell Street, in Milwaukee.
